Book 'Reports'

I have never been a fan of the phrase 'Book Reports', but they do seem to be evolving into something I do like-more activity based with a healthy dose of creativity tossed in the mix.  Here is a list of fun activities that can be used with any book.  Let me know if you have your own fun activity we can add!

Book Picture Albums- Students can use this letter of explanation and template to create a scrapbook or picture album of their favorite book.  I always give them the option of using their own materials, as some students want to take actual pictures of their friends acting out scenes or create a more physical scrapbook with collected artifacts.  The results are really beautiful.

Pocket People- This is a fantastic way for students to present characters from books or biographies they have read.

Literacy Bags- Put some of these fun bags together for a mutli-area project.  Students could pick out a topic a week for a consistent assignment.

Book Theme Bingo- Great resources from Ms. Naney
